Editorial Policy
Bitcoin Wealth Platform is an independent editorial resource for people holding Bitcoin. This page documents how we make editorial decisions, how we verify what we publish, and how we handle errors.
What we cover
BWP covers Bitcoin and the financial decisions that come with holding it: IRAs, lending, tax, custody, retirement planning, and inheritance. Our reader is a US-based Bitcoin holder making real decisions, not a trader and not someone curious about cryptocurrency in general.
Coverage is editorial. We choose what to write about based on what we judge to be useful to our reader, not based on commercial relationships or search-volume opportunities.
What we do not cover
BWP is Bitcoin only. We do not cover altcoins, Web3, DeFi, NFTs, or other digital assets. We do not write trading content, price predictions, or speculative commentary on where Bitcoin is going. We do not produce news content or react to short-term market moves.
These are deliberate choices, not gaps. Single focus, deeper coverage.
How we verify
Every provider data point in our tools and guides is traceable to a primary source. We do not aggregate from comparison sites or rely on secondary reporting for product details, fees, custody arrangements, or terms.
Each tool and guide displays a verification date. Provider data is re-verified on a quarterly cadence at minimum, and immediately when we become aware of material changes (fee structure updates, custody arrangement changes, terms of service revisions).
If a source we relied on becomes inaccessible, we update the affected content and note the change.
Editorial independence
Editorial decisions are made independently of any commercial relationship BWP has with providers we cover. Affiliate revenue does not influence what we write, how we rank providers in our tools, or which providers receive editorial labels like “Best for low fees.”
A separate Affiliate Disclosure page explains exactly how affiliate revenue works at BWP and what it does and does not affect.
Language and tone
We do not use hype language (“revolutionary,” “game-changing”), price predictions, or speculative framing. We do not write headlines designed to drive emotional response. We do not anthropomorphize Bitcoin or treat it as a religious commitment.
When we have a view, we state it clearly and provide the reasoning. When the answer to a reader’s question is “it depends,” we explain what it depends on rather than pretending there is a universal answer.
Corrections
When we find an error in published content, we fix it and add a correction note at the bottom of the affected page indicating what was wrong, what is now correct, and the date of the correction.
If you find an error in something we have published, email michael@bitcoinwealthplatform.com. We will review the report, correct confirmed errors promptly, and acknowledge the correction in the affected content.
